Defending champion Novak Djokovic and nine-time winner Rafael Nadal have won in straight sets to reach the third round at the French Open.
Nadal outclassed Dutchman Robin Haase 6-1 6-4 6-3, while Djokovic defeated Portugal’s Joao Sousa 6-1 6-4 6-3 on Wednesday.
Djokovic goes on to face Argentine Diego Schwartzman and Nadal takes on Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia.
Jo-Wilfred Tsonga’s hopes, however, vanished into thin air when he was sent packing with a 7-5 6-4 6-7 6-4 loss to Argentina’s Renzo Olivo.
